House Rules
Dear,
Our household strives to ensure that your event runs as smoothly as possible. Therefore, there are a few house rules that we will outline below.
Damage to the property
The renter must ensure that no damage is caused to the building or the items within. We are a heritage site, and it is not permitted to deface the rented spaces by using nails, tape, etc., to hang posters or balloons for example.
Het Rijk van de Keizer reserves the right to recover any damages to the property from the client. The renter must leave the venue in the same condition as found at the end of the event within the agreed rental period.
This also includes the removal of all materials used by the renter, such as boxes, informational materials, signs, balloons, and other decorations. Items that no longer have value and can be considered waste must also be taken back. Our containers are not large enough to accommodate additional loads of waste alongside our own. Should extra waste be left behind, we will charge at least €150,- excluding VAT for additional disposal.
Decoration
The decoration party or stylists can begin decorating 1.5 hours before the start of the event (please consult with us on what and how) with a maximum of 4 people. All decorations must be removed within 1 hour after the event ends. We will have to charge extra if more time is needed. If the decorations are not fully cleared or removed, we will charge at least €150,- excluding VAT for removal.
Cleaning costs
Normal cleaning costs are included in the rental fee. In the case of excessive contamination of the venue additional cleaning costs will be charged. These costs depend on the contamination and the work required to clean up and ar not discussable.
Rice, confetti, rose petals, UFO balloons, fireworks and sparklers
It is not allowed to scatter or ignite rice, confetti, confetti balloons/cannons, etc., within Rijk van de Keizer or its immediate surroundings (scattering real rose petals is allowed outside, but plastic is absolutely not).
Releasing UFO balloons or igniting fireworks is only permitted with a recognized fireworks company with a license. Sparklers may only be lit outside (but not under the canopy). These must be immediately collected in a zinc bucket with sand or water. We expect you to supervise.
Leaving behind gifts, personal belongings, etc.
Het Rijk van de Keizer accepts no responsibility or liability for damage to and/or loss and theft of gifts/goods belonging to the renter or third parties, and we do not undertake to secure or insure them. In principle, gifts and similar items should be taken with you at the end of the day or evening. If anything is left behind, please collect it from our office within a week.
Musicians, DJs and other staff
Amplified music outside is only allowed at living room volume (max 76dB) until 10:00 PM.
Please inform the band that it is not a large space, so they should consider this when setting up their sound equipment. Soundchecks may last a maximum of 30 minutes and cannot take place during dinner service.
Bands often need extra setup and takedown time, and these costs will be passed on.
Staff drinks (and often staff meals) for technicians, photographers and/ or videographers will also be charged. Their dietary requirements should be communicated in advance, and they usually dine at the same time as your dinner (please let us know if otherwise desired).
Technical equipment
All equipment included in the rental will be connected by Rijk van de Keizer staff. Once it is used by someone else, that person is responsible for any damage.
Point of contact
During the event, an event/ party manager will be present. You and your masters of ceremonies can approach this person with any questions, comments, or issues. We appreciate it if you keep the Party Manager as your sole contact person.
Please provide us with the contact details of your master of ceremonies and/or contact person in a timely manner.
On the day itself, our staff can be reached on the floor at 020-4116314 or 06-39448813.
Thank you very much for your cooperation!
